How to “Normalize” Volume in Ventrilo

This doesn’t work for every person because some people just have strange settings, but it will reduce the amount of time you have to spend adjusting most people. It’s probably the first thing you should do to Ventrilo once you get it installed.

  1. Open Ventrilo.
  2. Click the Setup button.
  3. Tick the Use Direct Sound box at the top right.
  4. Click the SFX button.
  5. Select Compressor and click Add.
  6. Under Compressor Properties use the following settings:
    • Gain: 15 (adjust for how loud you want people to be)
    • Attack: 0.01
    • Release: Around 500
    • Threshold: Around -30
    • Ratio: 100
    • Pre delay: 4.0
  7. Click OK all three times.
  8. Done!

The Dharma Uniform

Our guild craves individuality, so there is no standard uniform people expect to see. But if you feel like wearing your team colors, then this guide should help you get started. We will update this post as we find new and better gear. So feel free to comment or leave suggestions for us. As long as it’s blue and has yellow trim it will probably be great for a Dharma uniform.

The Guild Tabard is an obvious choice for that slot, but we don’t want anyone to forget about the Illustrious Guild Tabard or the Renowned Guild Tabard.

The Cloak of the Devoured is a perfect match for this set. However, if you want to make this uniform official you should consider using the Shroud of Cooperation, Wrap of Unity, or Cloak of Coordination.

DHARMA Initiative is founded.

It was a fine day in Stormwind when Dharma came into existence. At that time a fine Mage called Yuske (this was way before she discovered her true name) and I (Pangurrban) decided to make our own place in the lands of Azeroth. I bought the certificate and then the fun began to get people to sign the charter (needed 10 people). After 2 days and several kind friends making alts to sign, we had a guild. At first it was just Yuske and myself. He farmed herbs and I did dailies to buy bank tabs. In time people gravitated to our guild, and eventually it grew into a virtual home for hundreds of people!
